She calls me by name!

I usually title a blog based on what was written in the blog. This time I'm doing just the opposite. I'm going to write about this great thing that has happened to me in recent days. My daughter calls me by name, for real! She now says,"Mum!" Oh is that music to my ears. As I wrote the title I thought about John 10 where the Shepherd calls his sheep BY NAME. That is how Jesus is calling me daily. But do I listen? I sure know how to listen to a 7.5 month old. But why does it have to be so hard to listen to the Almighty? Thank you Lord for showing me BIG things through the mouth of my peanut sized daughter.

Ashlyn is growing like a weed. I have no idea how much she weighs, but she is no longer that little 5 lb 7 oz peanut we brought home a little over 7 months ago. I miss it! I felt like for so long she was still that baby, now I'm seeing her change into a little girl. I was listening to the song "Beautiful You" and it made me want to call her MY JEWEL. I'm so in love with her! I don't want her to ever feel unloved or abandoned. Never do I want her to feel hurt or pain. But I know that she will go through things I don't want her to ever have to deal with. I pray she will remain strong through everything. That she will one day call Jesus, SAVIOR. I pray for her future. Her future husband, that may be crawing around on all fours. Or maybe he's just a twinkle in his mom's eye. I do not know the curcumstances that will bring this little boy into his mommy's life. But I do know that God is molding him even now.


Well...I gatta get to my little Jewel who needs a little mommy time. <3
