lots of milestone. lots of fun

Ashlyn has been growing like a weed ever since we started solids two weeks ago. Which is expected. She's gained a pound since her appointment Feb 2. Amazing! She is now well over 12 pounds. Yesterday I got out her 6 month clothing thinking she'd have a little more time till she fit into them. Nope, she fits perfect! She's got short arms, so all the shirts are a big big. But other than that they all fit nicely. I'm so happy that I can even think about putting her 3 month clothes in boxes. She's been in them since the end of Oct/beginning of Nov. A little tired of them perhaps. She's got some cute clothes in her new size. I just wish her feet would grow so I could put on her cute maryjanes that I got her. They're more springy/summery anyhow so that can wait.

She now sits up on her own. I still put the boppy behind her though cuz she doesn't understand when she leans a little bit she falls. So cute! And she babbles ALL THE TIME. She says Dadada...and Babababa...so funny! Josh is so ready her to say "Da-da". I'm sure it'll be soon. I love it when she just talks for 5-10 minutes while I'm in the kitchen making dinner.

So for food we started on Rice cereal and so far she's eaten Pears, Sweet Potatoes, Green Beans, and Banans. And hopefully this weekend we'll add Avacados...yummm! I also have carrots in the freezer waiting to be eaten, prob next week we'll start with that. And then I'm thinking of making some yummy applesauce, peas, squash...etc. It's so fun making it, I'm so thankful Josh got me the magic bullet, it's honestly sooo easy!! I just cook, put in the bullet, and then put in ice cube trays, then freeze and WAH-LA! I'll then put each Fruit/Veggie in their own zip lock baggy. I wonder if it's actually saving money, but at least it's saving on her having to get used to store bought stuff and homemade stuff, since I want her to be eating what we make, not always prepackaged stuff. And I can get organic...ya! Although the only thing so far is the pears...I need to get more organic stuff. My next trip is TRADER JOES for some apples and peas. I guess I get a little too excited about it. Ha!

So I got some fun ribbon, some headbands, a gluegun, and some snaps and I've been making her some cute headbands. Well as of now I've only fixed the ones that I bought. But I will be making her some once I find some more motivation. They look so cute on her. I want to do a little photoshoot with the ones I have thus far. Her head is also the perfect size for headbands, yaa! They don't fall off anymore, instead we have to deal with her pulling them off, ha!

I love the sunshine! It makes me want to go outside right now. Maybe Ashlyn and I will trek out for a walk when she wakes up. That jeep stroller has been a nice thing to have since it's really good on bumpy, snowy, icey roads. And for treking through neighbors yards. Hehe. I had to deliver something and our neighbor took me on a short cut through their yard to get to the next house. I LOVE our neighbors! They have been so wonderful to us! So nice, and so friendly. Next week we alrady have a play date with all the girls. There's one that just turned one and some others who are younger than school age, not sure how old. They are so cute though! So many babies on our road, some just born, others a little older than Ashlyn. I'm so excited for them to all grow up together and play. Not that I'm wanting to rush anything about her growth.

ps. I forgot to add she was also dedicated on Feb 14th, Valentine's Day, to the Lord Publically =)
